E79 | Jack Tame

Episode summary | Jack Tame

Jack Tame has been described as journalism’s Swiss Army Knife – a guy that can do it all.

He is the host of TVNZ’s Q+A, as well as one of New Zealand’s biggest radio shows on Newstalk ZB, and a columnist for the NZ Herald. He’s moderated leaders debates and kept his cool under attack from Winston Peters on live TV.

Prior to this he was on the Breakfast team, read the 6pm bulletin, and was TVNZ’s US Correspondent, all after starting his journalism career as a teenager in Christchurch.

He has seen and experienced more of the world in 35 years than may will in their lifetime. He’s visited seven continents, interviewed some of the world’s biggest names including Sir David Attenborough, flirted with Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus, witnessed the come up of Steven Adams, and worked out with Lorde!

Along the way he’s learnt from the best including the late Paul Holmes and Mike Hosking. In short he’s one of the most impressive guests we’ve had on the podcast!
