Episode summary | Hamish Pinkham

Hamish Pinkham is best known as the co-founder and director of Rhythm and Vines - New Zealand's premier live music festival.

In 2003 Hamish and his two flatmates at the University of Otago decided to host a party for their friends in a Gisborne vineyard. The story of what’s happened since then is quite remarkable going from a 1,800 gathering of mates to a sold out 30,000 revellers at its peak.

His company also launched a sister new years festival – ’Rhythm and Alps’ in Wanaka, and as co-founder / Director of Endeavour Live he has conceived and delivered some of the country's best loved music events and international tours.

Hamish is passionate about the development of the music, events, tourism and creative industries both at home and abroad and also launched the Phoenix Summit - a one day meeting of creative minds held in Auckland.

He is a qualified lawyer and musician himself and is smart, fun, driven and extremely personable. What Hamish has built and achieved over the last two decades is seriously impressive.
